Audi R8 V10 Plus FSI Engine
High revving concept

A high-revving 5.2-litre V10, lightweight Audi Space Frame® technology and an S tronic® transmission, the engine comes with a combined intake manifold and direct injection. With 610 PS and maximum torque of 560 Nm, the all-new Audi R8 V10 plus FSI accelerates from 0- 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds. This makes it the not just the fastest Audi car in India but also the fastest Audi production car in history and the first to reach 330 km/h.

The cylinder of these Audi cars in India shuts five of ten cylinders under partial load on demand. The dry-sump lubrication ensures supply of oil even with very high longitudinal and lateral acceleration.

Sporty driving mode: The models from Audi Sport GmbH are designed and manufactured for use on public roads. Compared with driving on roads, significantly higher vehicle stress occurs on racetracks or other enclosed courses (e.g. during driver tuition, driving courses and track days). The engine, transmission, clutch and drive train in particular, along with the chassis, brakes and tyres are put under significant stress. This can lead to increased wear and tear. You can find information on the specifics of driving your vehicle on racetracks or other enclosed courses in the on-board literature or by contacting your Audi dealer.

S tronic®

In both the Audi R8 V10 and the Audi R8 V10 plus, the forces are directed to a lightning-fast seven-speed S tronic transmission system, mounted behind the engine. Three different drive modes offer the driver full adaptability; if desired the S tronic can also be controlled manually. Gear change commands are transmitted electronically (by wire). A launch control feature manages the maximum acceleration from a standing start. Another S tronic function is activated when the driver takes their foot off the accelerator at speeds over 55 km/h. In this case both clutches open and the car enters a coasting mode.

The permanent all-wheel drive quattro®

The quattro permanent all-wheel drive gives the R8 Coupé a decisive plus in terms of stability and traction compared to its two-wheel drive competitors. On the front axle an electro-hydraulic multi-plate clutch replaces the viscous coupling unit of the previous model. Depending on the driving situation and weather conditions, the newly developed quattro drive allows a completely free, fully variable distribution of the drive torques between the front and rear axle. In normal use, up to 100 percent of the power output is directed to the rear wheels, but if required, the clutch will redirect up to 100 percent to the front wheels. Thanks to the mechanical, limited-slip differential on the rear axle, the driver experiences maximum traction without slippage.
